We had the pleasure to receive six aerospace engineers from Embry Riddle Aeronautical University in Daytona Beach, Florida. These students are currently undertaking a module in art, culture, and Spanish literature at Universidad Europea de Canarias. As part of their coursework, they organized two workshops for our students in Casa Azul.
The workshops combined activities that ranged from theoretical mini-lessons on physics concepts such as gravity and thrust that taught them the science behind airplanes and rockets. They did this through videos, graphs and even balloons! These sessions also included a final project that helped them consolidate the previous knowledge. Team plane did a paper airplane race and team Rocket built a paper traffic control tower.
